Jack London's cabin, originally on the North Fork of Henderson Creek, south of Dawson City, Yukon, the epicenter for the Klondike Gold Rush, was built before the rush of 1898. London traveled to the Yukon in September 1897 to try his hand at prospecting. Failing, he threw down his pan and picked up his pen.
