Anchorage Pioneer Home residents receive Valentine cards during a special ice cream social at the home on Feb. 14. Members of the Anchorage Chapter of the ASEA/AFSCME Local 52 Union and their children hand-made the cards, more than 100 in all, in an earlier session at the union headquarters and delivered them to the residents. Union coordinators say more intergenerational activities like this are in the works for the future.
