Dementia care workshops to be offered in King Cove and Wrangell

 


An interactive workshop exploring the challenges faced by organizations and facilities in providing dementia care will be offered in King Cove and Wrangell this month.

• May 21, Wrangell, at the Fire Dept. Training Hall, 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., or 4 to 8:15 p.m. Contact: Amber Smith, 907-586-6044 or asmith@alzalaska.org

The workshops are designed for those with a working knowledge of dementia and are in roles that support individuals, families and/or direct care workers.

Presented by Alzheimer’s Resource of Alaska, and sponsored by the Trust Training Cooperative, registration is available online at http://ttclms.org. Click “Aging/Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Dementia” in the “By Interest Area” column on the left, and scroll down to the May schedule.
