Stories on stage at the Anchorage Museum

The Anchorage Museum will continue its series of “Storytelling Saturdays Theatre” through the winter, including two performances in December. Learn about the local community’s many cultures during these family-friendly, live performances of fairy tales and other cultural stories. Performances take place every other Saturday at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. in the Museum Auditorium. Attendance is free to museum members or with any museum admission purchase. Complimentary tickets are also available, contact theatre@anchoragemuseum.org for more details.

The series is presented in partnership with the museum and its community partners: Welcome Anchorage, Bridge Builders, Keys to Life, and the Sister Cities Commission.

December events include:

Dec. 7 “Askeladden”, a tale of Nordic folklore including stories of trolls, water spirits and other fairy tales.

Dec. 21 England’s “Cinderella”, a re-telling of the classic tale where imagination and liberty determines what happens.
