OPAG welcomes new board member

At its January meeting, the Older Persons Action Group, Inc., board of directors accepted John “Jack” T. Pauli onto the board. A long-time Alaska resident, John’s professional background includes 27 years’ active duty in the military, retiring as a colonel. He coordinated and supervised the overall operations of the U.S. Army Public Affairs Office at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. He then worked as director of two workplace-learning operations, including training on computers and speaking and writing in the workplace, and also instruction for advanced underwater diving. He worked as adjunct faculty for University of Alaska Anchorage in the Alaska Wilderness Studies program, and retired in 2012 as a tenured associate professor in the UAA College of Business and Public Policy. He holds a Master of Arts in Teaching: Adult Education/Human Resource Development from Alaska Pacific University.

He resides in Anchorage with Ann, his wife of 59 years, and says that in the summer months he pursues his underwater photography hobby in the waters of the Pacific Ocean.

Welcome aboard, Jack.
