October health fairs around the state
October 1, 2019
Alaska Health Fair’s fall season is rocking and rolling! Find the location most convenient to you and attend -- all events have free entry and are open to the public, featuring free health screenings, plus lots of free health and safety education for all ages. These tests can help you learn about your overall health and detect potential problems early, when treatment or changes in personal habits can be most effective.
Blood tests are for those over 18 years of age. The fairs’ most popular test is the Chemistry/Hematology Profile (the only test requiring fasting) for only $45, which covers a total of 27 panels, including CBC, CMP, and Lipids (includes cholesterol information). Other tests range in cost from $20 to $55, including Blood Typing ABO/RH; A1C; PSA; B12; Ferritin; Thyroid; Vitamin D; and Testosterone (male).
Flu shots and immunizations will usually be available. Bring your insurance card and/or other forms of payment.

Schedule your own fair
If you’re interested in bringing an Alaska Health Fair event to your place of employment or to your local community and its many residents, just give us a call. We can walk you through the amazing amount of offerings that our 39-year-old statewide non-profit (entering its 40th year) can provide to your employees or local residents.
We are always looking for interested volunteers, medical and non-medical to support these community events. Please encourage co-workers, family, friends, neighbors, youth and other service oriented groups to provide support for their local events; or even travel with us to rural locations to provide blood test support and provide free health screenings and free health education to those in need.
Just go online to https://alaskahealthfair.org, select the volunteer button below our logo, then click the colored button on the volunteer page. Complete the online application, electronically sign and submit. You’ll receive a copy of your application from firstname.lastname@example.org (as well as all future event confirmations that you sign up for from this same email address). If you do not get an immediate reply in your email (after submitting your application), then it did not go through. Please try again or give us a call and we’ll walk you through the process. We look forward to seeing you this season.
