Health fairs through May have been canceled

May 1, 2020

Alaska Health Fair has canceled all March through May 2020 health fairs, due to state or national mandates. We’ve continued to do our important work for Alaska at our local offices and hope to return to business “as close to usual as possible” in late May or early June. We expect to hold health fairs starting in August, so if you are interested in scheduling a late summer event, please give us a call.

Call your local Alaska Health Fair office at 907-278-0234 in Anchorage and 907-374-6853 in Fairbanks to be waitlisted for when we return to our office draw appointment services (providing much needed access to blood tests) and updates on our fall health fair schedule, which will be finalized by early summer. Or check out http://www.alaskahealthfair.org for frequent newsletters, or agency and health fair updates.

Thank you and congratulations

We ask you to join Alaska Health Fair, in thanking health professionals, emergency services and police officers that are going above and beyond the call of duty to save lives and keep Alaskans healthy and safe on a daily basis. They will continue to do so long after the COVID-19 crisis has ended.

We thank everyone involved in the food chain —from raising, to production, to transporting, to stocking, to retail sales and the local Food Banks —as they have kept our populations fed. We want to thank the many volunteers who are giving back to their communities during this unique time of great need.

We wish all mothers and grandmothers a wonderful Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 10, and hope that you’ll take some time to reach out to other mothers to help them feel supported and valued during this time of social isolation. Where would any of us be without our mothers (plus dads) who have been there for both young and old.

We also want to wish the best to all graduates, whether they be kindergarten, middle school, high school or college. Graduation is a special time in life and many people are missing these once in a lifetime experiences this spring. Please do everything you can to make a family member or friend’s graduation special, via Skype, FaceTime, home deliveries or any creative solution you can think of.
