Health fairs are great for learning about your health, both from test results and informational booths staffed by people with expertise.

Alaska Health Fair events offer free health screenings, plus lots of free health and safety education for all ages. These tests can help you learn about your overall health and detect potential problems early, when treatment or changes in personal habits can be most effective.

All events have free entry and are open to the public.

Blood tests are for those over 18 years of age. The fairs' most popular test is the Chemistry/Hematology Profile (the only test requiring fasting) for only $45, which covers a total of 27 panels, including CBC, CMP, and Lipids (includes cholesterol information). Other tests range in cost from $20 to $55, including Blood Typing ABO/RH; A1C; PSA; B12; Ferritin; Thyroid; Vitamin D; and Testosterone (male).

For more information, call 278-0234 (Anchorage); 374-6853 (Fairbanks) or 723-5100 (Juneau), or visit http://www.alaskahealthfair.org.

If you're interested in bringing an Alaska Health Fair event to your place of employment or to your local community and its many residents, just give us a call. We can walk you through the amazing offerings our 39-year-old statewide non-profit (entering its 40th year) can provide to your employees or local residents.
